WHAT SHOULD HALT YOUR SHOPPING EXPERIENCE...

Some online product descriptions do not include enough product information, such as the manufacturer's warranty, the store's warranty and return policy, and other details that are often labeled on the box.

A store's warranty is usually 30-90 days, and is posted on their website. You may have to visit their homepage or a product's page to find it.

Sellers should always include as much detail to each product as possible.

I want to feel like I've virtually read the box. What could be more user friendly - besides faster service (LOL)

Please be considerate if you write to a seller about product information or anything!

Give sellers a fair chance to...

• read business email - may be hundreds of business related email to sift through, including customer service.
• understand you and the conversation you are trying to express into words.
• address the issue - it just may take awhile to answer or find the answer.

* Depending on the business, it could take as long as a week or two before receiving a reply.

SAFER SHOPPING TIPS...

Always familiarize yourself with the store before purchasing!

Visit www.BBB.org and www.BBBonline.org and search for the store's history.

Perform a search for the store and include the words that people use, even mispelled words, when they are not happy with any seller.

Use simple words in your search, with the store name as ABC (and abc.com), such as; rip, ripped, off, beware, liar, lie, theif, thief, never, etc... or so it might look like this; "store name" and "never", or this way; "store name.com" "never buy from" should bring up some interesting reading!)

1. Use simple search words (i.e. 'item' and 'a descriptive word or two' of the item)

   NOTES: Use brackets around two or more words to "force a phrase" (i.e. "exact item" has two or more words in the name, and you want "extra large", or type as; "exact item" and "extra large", using the word "and" may change how the search engine responds to your search words and phrases, or how you address them to react in your search.)

   - You may need to change the name of your "exact item name" to get different search results!

   - Sometimes I will even include a dollar sign ($) if I want to make sure it is in stock.

   Press the ENTER or GO button when needed.

2. Read the list of items in your first search results... If results vary to much from what you expected... change the words, or use a minus sign directly in from of a word you may want to delete from these search results, as "-child", so the search box looks like; ["exact item" "extra large" -child] Using the word "-child" will remove "-child" but may or may not remove "children" from your search results.

   Press the ENTER or GO button again for updating your search results.

3. Click on the Sort By Price or Price button. NOTE: You may need to click to sort again as some stores do not sort prices as you expect.

   (For instance, Amazon.com's sale prices will not sort in numerical order with their regular prices.)
